A curious mind
always building

Student, developer, and problem-solver from Algeria.

I'm Alaa — a 2nd-year Computer Science student at the University of Oran 1, Algeria. My studies cover machine architecture, operating systems, algorithms & pseudocode, and programming in C and Python. On the web side, I've been learning HTML and CSS and I'm currently diving into JavaScript, Java, and C++.

I love understanding how things work under the hood — from how an OS manages memory to how a browser renders a webpage. The connection between low-level systems and high-level interfaces is what fascinates me most.

I use tools like VS Code, Vercel, GitHub Pages, and Local Storage to build and deploy my projects. I'm still learning and every project teaches me something new.

Education

2nd Year Computer Science at University of Oran 1. Coursework: Machine Architecture, Operating Systems, Algorithms & Pseudocode, C, Python, and intro to Java & C++.

💡

What I Love

Understanding how computers work at every level — from machine architecture and OS concepts to writing clean HTML & CSS. I enjoy seeing the full picture from hardware to browser.

🎯

Right Now

Deepening my knowledge of Python and C, exploring JavaScript and CSS, and building small web projects to practice what I learn. Always curious, always building.

Things I've built

A few projects I've made while learning — each one taught me something new.

Completed

Calculator

A clean, intuitive web-based calculator built to practice semantic layout structure and JavaScript arithmetic logic operations.

HTML CSS JavaScript
Completed

Sudoku Solver

A terminal-based Sudoku solver written in pure C. Uses the backtracking algorithm to solve a hard-coded 9×9 puzzle and print the completed board. No external libraries required.

C Backtracking Algorithms
Completed

Quiz Application

A Python console quiz app with randomized multiple-choice questions, input validation, and score history saved to file. Built modularly across 5 clean files.

Python OOP File I/O
Completed

Mini Database System

A lightweight database system in C — no external engines. Manages student records via a CLI with add, search, update, delete, and persistent file storage.

C File Handling Structs Memory
